Steps to rip Blu-ray for watching on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus
Step 1. Load Blu-ray movies
Insert your Blu-ray disc into your BD drive, and click “Load Disc” icon to load your Blu-ray movies. You can also import movies files from Blu-ray Folder, ISO.
Step 2. Set output format
Before going any further, be clear of what video and audio file formats can be viewed on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. From Samsung’s official page, we get the information that we can play the following file types on Galaxy S8/S8 Plus.
Audio Playback Format:
MP3, M4A, 3GA, AAC, OGG, OGA, WAV, WMA, AMR, AWB, FLAC, MID, MIDI, XMF, MXMF, IMY, RTTTL, RTX, OTA, DSF, DFF
Video Playback format:
MP4, M4V, 3GP, 3G2, WMV, ASF, AVI, FLV, MKV, WEBM
Then click Format bar and just select “H.264 HD Video (*.mp4)" from "HD Video" category. You can also select other Galaxy S8 or GalaxyS8+ supported format, but H.264 MP4 format is highly recommended here, since H.264 MP4 is compatible with almost every devices and media player, you can watch them on other devices later without re-convert.
Step 3: Edit video for Galaxy S8/S8 Plus(optional)
Tip 1: Click "Settings" on the main interface to open “Profile Settings” window, here, you can flexibly adjust output profile parameters including video codec, resolution, bit rate, frame rate, audio codec, bit rate, sample rate, channels, etc as you like to get better output video and audio quality for Galaxy S8/S8 Plus.
Tip 2: Go the “Crop” tab in the “Video Editor” Window, switch to the “Advanced Mode”. To change output video aspect ratio, there are several aspect ratios for you to choose from, including 16:10, 16:9, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, and 2:1, you can choose Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus accepted aspect ratio 18.5:9 approximately 2:1. Once you select a “Display aspect ratio”, the “green crop frame” will keep this ratio to crop video and you are able to preview the final effect in real time. If you want to keep the same aspect ratio in your final output files, do remember to set the Video “Size (pix)” in “Settings” section as the same ratio as display aspect ratio.
Step 4. Start rip Blu-ray for Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus
After all settings, click "Convert" to rip your Blu-ray to H.264 MP4 videos for Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus.
When the conversion finishes, click Open to get the ripped Blu-ray movies saved as H.264 MP4 format. Then you can:
1. Transfer the ripped Blu-ray movies to Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, and then watch them directly.
2. Backup the ripped Blu-ray to your Home Server (NAS) or DLNA enabled devices (Plex Media Server), them streaming them to your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus for watching anywhere, anytime.
3. Upload the ripped Blu-ray movies to your Cloud Storage, and then use Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus to watch them on the go.
