Conforming Sony NEX-5n footage with Cinema Tools

I just have a Sony NEX-5n camera on hand. I attempt to do the following 2 things:
1. I want to import a small section of my AVCHD footage captured by Sony NEX-5n to Final Cut Pro for editing use. For example, in an eleven minute MTS video, I just wanna retain the duration from 2:00:00 to 10:53:00, how can I do this?
