Put and play Blu-ray and DVD movies on Motorola Droid 3

The Motorola Droid 3 made its debut on July 7 with very little fanfare, and is available online from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a two-year contract ($459.99 off contract) and in stores on July 14.

The Droid 3 features a slide-out, five-row QWERTY keyboard like the original Droid and Droid 2, but it comes with a larger and better 4-inch qHD (960x540) touch screen. Motorola Droid 3 runs on the platform Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and has 16GB of internal memory with microSD card extended up to 32GB for a total of up to 48GB memory.

With incredible dual-core speed and brilliant qHD display, as well as up to 48 GB of total memory, the Droid 3 must be a suitable device for video watching. We know that the Droid 3 supports a relatively wide range of audio and video file types, including AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WAV, eAAC+, WMA v10, WMA v9, MIDI, and AAC+ , but how to put and play Blu-ray and DVD movies on it? The contents below give you a simple solution.

Step-by-step guide:
How to put and play Blu-ray and DVD movies on Motorola Droid 3 ?

1. Free download and install Pavtube Blu-ray DVD to Droid 3 Converter
Once run the Blu-ray DVD ripping software, you can click “BD/DVD Disc” icon, or “BD/DVD Folder” icon to import Blu-ray or DVD source movie, or click “IFO/ISO” icon to import DVD IFO or ISO image file.

2. Select required subtitles track and audio track
Click on the drop down menu after “Subtitles” and “Audio” respectively to select your needed language as subs and audio track. On the dropdown menu of “Subtitles”, the subs language and subs ID are showing clearly for you to make quick selection.

More than that, an “Only show forced subtitles” option is available for you to see subtitles only when actors are speaking a different language. For instance, if you specify English (your mother tongue) as your subtitles, and meanwhile tick off “Only show force subtitles” option, then when actors are speaking English, no subtitles will show up, but when they are talking with each other in French, the English subtitles will appear accompanying with the French.

On the dropdown menu of “Audio” you will find the detailed information of all audio tracks, including language, audio codec, and stream ID, which also make your selection much easier.

3. Select output format for Droid 3
The Blu-ray DVD to Droid 3 Converter software comes with optimized format presets for Android smartphones, such as Google Nexus One, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G, Samsung Fascinate, etc. We recommend you to perform “Android” > “Motorola Droid (X) H.264 video (*.mp4)” to select this H.264 (.mp4) format as target format for Droid 3.

4. Click “Browse” button to specify a destination folder for the ripped Blu-ray/DVD files.

5. Click the big button “Convert” to start ripping Blu-ray/DVD to Droid 3 supported format.
When the ripping task is finished, you can simply click “Open” button to get the converted .mp4 file for Droid 3.

6. Copy the ripped Blu-ray/DVD movies onto your Droid 3
Connect your Droid 3 to your computer via USB cable. Once mounted, create a folder named “Video” in the root folder of your Droid 3. Simply copy the video files created by Pavtube Blu-ray DVD to Droid 3 Converter into the “Video” folder. The converted video can now be played on your Droid 3 with your built-in media player.
