Download a trial of Pavtube ByteCopy from below links. Note that a trial copies 7 Blu-ray Discs or DVDs only. And you’ll need a Blu-ray Disc drive when ripping Blu-ray to MKV, since DVD ROM will not recognize BD.

Step 1. Run Pavtube ByteCopy, and click “Load from Disc” button to import movie files from copy-protected DVD/Blu-ray Disc.
Step 2: To preserve all subtitles/audio tracks and chapter markers, lossless multi-track MKV will be a perfect output video format. Click the format bar to follow “Multi-track Video” > “Lossless/encoded Multi-track MKV (*.mkv)”.
Step 3. Click the “Convert” button to start copying Blu-ray/DVD main movie to MKV file with all audio tracks and subtitle included.
By default Pavtube ByteCopy rip Blu-ray/DVD to MKV in “lossless” mode: a Blu-ray Disc will be copied into 1080p MKV file and DVD into 480p/576p MKV video. Extras are removed, and only main movie will be remained. Original audio (AC3, DTS, TrueHD, DTS-MA 7.1) and subtitles is copied without trans-coding. A lossless Blu-ray copy ranges from 20GB to 40GB+, and DVD 4GB to 8GB+. Find details of compressing Blu-ray when you’d like a smaller file size.

Play ripped Blu-ray/DVD movie library on your HDTV in two easy steps: connect the 2TB hard drive of LaCinema Classic HD to your computer (either Windows or Mac) to easily store your movies, and then connect LaCinema Classic HD to your TV for instant playback. No configuration is required. You'll be able to store and enjoy your 1080p MKV and many more file types on any TV. As lossless Blu-ray copy takes up more than 4TB, you’re advised to use NTFS file system to store ripped 1080p MKV into external HDD.
To play Blu-ray on HDTV at 1080p/1080i, you can also use Pavtube ByteCopy and rip Blu-ray to 1080p MKV and play the HD video with LaCinema PlayHD. When/If the player fails to play HD audio like DTS-HD or TrueHD, you can mix-down the HD audio to Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 using Pavtube ByteCopy.
